What the AI Copywriter does

The AI Copywriter lives directly inside the Email Builder. Select a text element, a structure, or your entire message, and ask the AI Copywriter to improve, shorten, rewrite, translate, or simply turn your rough notes into something readable.

You choose a writing style from a list: shorten, simplify, sound more professional, rewrite for a specific audience, or define your own style. With "Custom style", you set the tone and goal yourself and add extra instructions. Those instructions give you a lot of flexibility: you can tell the AI Copywriter what it's not allowed to do, who it's writing for, how long a paragraph can be at most, and which words to avoid.

What makes it different from simply pasting text into ChatGPT:

• The full email context is included. What's in the rest of your email influences the suggestions for each element. The AI Copywriter sees the bigger picture.
• You decide what to apply. You receive suggestions per element, per structure, or for the entire email. You choose which ones to use.
• Behind the scenes, we include a set of email marketing best practices.
• Translate is built in too. Via the translate toggle in the copywriter, you can also translate an element while rewriting it. Handy if you want to turn an English-language article into a Dutch newsletter intro, or localise a section without translating the whole email.

How to get the most out of it

Of course you can use it simply to speed up your workflow. But we'd like to share a few useful tips to get even more out of it.

Start with rough notes, not finished copy. Just type what you want to say into a text element, without worrying about style or structure. Choose "Clean up notes" and let the AI Copywriter turn it into something readable. You don't need to start with a great first sentence.

Use the context field as a mini style guide. Write in which words you don't want to use, how long a paragraph can be, and who you're writing for. The AI Copywriter follows those instructions. This delivers tighter results than simply choosing a writing style.

Select a structure, not a single element. If you have a section with a title, body text, and a link, select the entire structure. The AI Copywriter generates suggestions for all elements at once and keeps the coherence between title and body consistent.

Change the tone without rewriting the content. Set the tone to "Same as original message" and only adjust the goal. The content stays intact, but the call to action becomes stronger.

This is just the beginning

The AI Copywriter and the AI Translator are the first two AI features we're launching in the builder. The subject line and preheader generator is already there too: it helps you write stronger subject lines based on a campaign description and a tone of voice. But there's more to come.

A note on credits

The AI Copywriter uses the same AI credit pool as the AI Translator. Here's what's included per subscription per month:

• Start: 3 credits
• Essential: 10 credits
• Pro & Premium: 300 credits

The AI Copywriter uses 1 credit per processed element. On a Start or Essential subscription? Then it's better to select individual text elements rather than an entire structure or email. That way you keep more control over your usage.

Credits are replenished on your monthly renewal date and it is not currently possible to order additional AI credits. Make sure AI permission is enabled in your account settings before you get started.

The AI Copywriter is currently not available for accounts with email credits, only for subscriptions.
